|Waterman (Le) Man 100 Fountain Pen may be filled by means of an ink cartridge or proprietary Waterman “twist” screw driven converter. The converter pushes in then is screwed into the nib housing. The pen ships with converter only. The pen measures 5.6250” (5/8) inches when closed (capped) and 6.6875” (11/16) inches when posted. The pen has signs of wear, faint micro scratches in isolated locations on the cap and barrel, and gold plated accents.
Please note: on the gold plated ferrule located at the base of the nib housing there a series of small scratches (see photos of nib). The engraved two-color 18k gold and platinum nib is in very good condition, no chips or dents. The tines are perfectly aligned. Ink flow is fluid, especially when used with fountain pen ink the consistency of Waterman’s, such as, Lamy, Pelikan, Parker, Montblanc or Sheaffer’s. The Waterman logo on the cap crown is unmarred but there are micro scratches on the gold plated circular inset.
Waterman’s Le Man series of pens was introduced into the Company line in 1983 and finally discontinued in 1999.
